Check your pulse!

"Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord." Romans 12:11
I really want you to think about this. When you are excited about something you give it your all! Right? The Lord wants nothing less than your all when it comes to your worshipping, serving and loving. Are you passionate about Christ or have you become complaisant? Are you comfortable or are you always striving for more of Christ-likeness?
Ask yourself what you are passionate about. Is it people, things, possessions? What gives you zeal in life? What really lights that fire underneath you? I can guarantee that when that fire is lit, you stop at nothing. Am I right? Does God light your fire? He wants to, He desires to see you fervently seeking, serving and loving not only Him but those around you.
Do you remember that fervor you may have felt when you came to Christ or had that amazing experience with God? It was wonderful right. But maybe now you have become just blah, everyday, run-of-the-mill complaisant. If that is you, its time to take a look at why you feel that way. When you are a believer in Jesus Christ, life is not blah! In fact, if you know Jesus, your life should be the most exciting around.
But if it is blah for you right now, I suggest something real simple. Ask God to cleanse you of anything that hinders your relationship with Him. What might this cleansing be? It may be you realizing you are not spending enough time, or anytime, in the Word of God, the Bible. You may find that you are not spending time being still before the Lord, listening to His voice and praying. Perhaps your involvement in some kind of ministry may be for you. I dont know, but God does. So go to Him. Ask Him to reveal what areas of your life you may need to give up in order to regain your zeal for Christ.
A passionate man or woman can change the world forever. It began with Christ and His passion for the lost. Now its your turn to take over where He left off. So turn up your spiritual fervor and when your running low on zeal, go to God for a refueling!
Let this be your prayer today:
"Lord, I ask that you break me of my passions for anything that is not glorifying to you. Fill me with an overflow of your passion for the lost, for me to feel your feelings, see with your eyes and love with your heart. Lord, I ask that your Holy Spirit work in my life, cleaning house, so I may come into a closer fellowship with you. I praise you for your victory on the cross, that you lived and died a life for me. May you be glorified today by my life, use me today to further your kingdom. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen.
If you know Christ and youre not excited, check your pulse. Then go to the doctor, HE, is always in!
In Him, "E"
