Johnny Angel:
A Biographical Sketch
I am a 20 years old and a sophomore at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee. I am from near Knoxville, Tennessee. I have always been involved in church. I came forward on my own during Bible camp at the age of eight to claim Christ as Savior. I was baptized in my parent's church. I had lots of ideas and dreams of things about college, but I didn't really get any of the things I prayed for. I tried to hang out with some friends from camp who lived near ETSU and go to church with them. But it didn't work. God asked me to step out on faith. He helped me to find a wonderful church that I can work in. He has opened so many doors since I gave up what I wanted and asked what He wanted. One of those was being called into the ministry. I still feel the need to keep my major of elementary education and stay at ETSU because God has opened up so many doors through my church, campus ministry, and just being a student. I will go to a seminary when I finish college. Then, I will just go where God leads me. He may have me pastor, do youth ministry, write Christian literature, write Sunday School lessons, teach in a Christian school, be a missionary, etc. I know, however, that God will help me with whatever comes up. Currently, I write devotions that I send out through email. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!
