Born Again

Nicodemus, priest of God
A man who knew the law
Became concerned because he too
Did question what he saw.

That Jesus Christ could cure the sick
And raise the dead to health
Did cause this priest to seek the source
Of Jesus' mystic wealth.

"What must I do to be like you?"
He asked of Christ the Lord
"For what you do does show me true
"Grace on your life's been poured."

The Lord took Nicodemus by the hand
And looked into his eyes
And said "You must be born again
"If you would come that high."

"You must be washed of sins my son
"And take the Spirit in
"Unless you do, your task will stay
"A burden great with sin."

Thus did the Lord tell all the world
The simple way to Him
Confess your guilt, accept God's Love
And through this you will win.
