Her Tears
By Gerald Sumeracki
The night that life became his gift
Was but her night of joy
His mother's lust had been his start
For this an infant boy.
He grew within the warmth of her
A comfort full of trust
And never knew the fate he'd face
That consequence of lust.
"I am so young!" she cried out loud
As doctors took her child, "I am so young
And have a life, a child would cramp my style.
Just get this burden out of me,"
She pleaded as he died,
"Before he grows another day
And becomes to big to hide."
That little one knew not a thing
About those suction tubes
But shocking pain was learned today
As his body was removed.
Yes piece by piece he left her womb
A mass of bloody flesh
That little boy who'd never grow
Now found eternal rest.
"I am so young!" she cried out loud
As doctors took her child, "I am so young
And have a life, a child would cramp my style.
Just get this burden out of me,"
She pleaded as he died,
Her empty womb now caused the tears
Her saddened eyes now cried.
