Eyes That See
By Gerald Sumeracki
To look upon this world perplexed
Through eyes that see life's test
Hardens hearts against belief
In God's true faithfulness.
"How can He look upon man's plight?"
Some ask who doubt He is
"No God would let the world be so
If it were truly His."
The failure of such kind to see
That men have made life so
Refuse to look beyond themselves
So they could truly know.
Yes, man who fell from God's good grace
Must bear the price of sin
And only through re-birth in Christ
Can spirits truly win.
The battle lines are firmly drawn
Between the Lord and "Him"
Who rules the world in which we live
This world of widespread sin.
Salvation's plan once understood
Will free the eyes to see
That Truth and Light with God does lie
Through God we'll always be.
