Trinity Dreamed

It was the result of many years of wonder. I was raised as a Catholic and was taught to believe in the Triune nature of God. As a kid the priest told us it is like a three leaf clover. There is but one stem of clover but three leaves are present. So it is with God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Well that is OK for a kid but as I got older I kept wondering HOW God could be ONE and yet THREE? I prayed over this for years and one evening about 15 years ago I got an answer.

God took me on a dream TIME trip into the past. I sped away from the earth like you would see in the movies and saw historical events going BACKWARDS! I sped faster and faster and eventually saw the very beginning of creation fade away as I sped into the past when there was no time.

I came to a stop and was in total darkness. I knew I was not alone and that I was in the presence of God. He spoke to me in this manner.

God: "Gerald, what do I know?" My Response: "You know all things God."

God: " No Gerald, what do I know RIGHT NOW?" My Response: " You know the past, present and future Lord."

God: "No Gerald. You are here with me to learn. This is eternity before creation, what do I know?" My Response: "Lord you know me for I am here with you."

God: "No Gerald, you are not here. You are dreaming. What do I know RIGHT NOW in eternity before creation?" My Response: "The only thing you CAN know God is yourself for there is nothing else to know before creation."

God: "Right, I Am the KNOWER. I have KNOWLEDGE of MYSELF. I as KNOWER am not my KNOWLEDGE----do you understand?" My Response: "Wow God that is heavy! You mean you ARE the KNOWER as well as the KNOWN?"

God: "Yes. And the perfect LOVE that flows between the TWO of us IS the HOLY SPIRIT." My Response: "Lord, are you saying that you the FATHER have perfect KNOWLEDGE of yourself and that Knowledge IS the SON and the perfect LOVE you have for that SON IS the HOLY Spirit?"

God: "Right. I AM each in nature, I AM a personality unique by definition to all three. The KNOWER (You define as Father) cannot be the KNOWN (You define as Son) or the love force(You define as Holy Spirit) because they are different by definition. They are the same by NATURE---ME!! Do you understand?" My Response: "Yes Lord. So your NAME is JESUS than?"

God: "Now you know me by my name." My Response" "Thank you Jesus!" And I awoke.
